Update May 13, 5:15 p.m. P.T.: Twitter service has returned to normal for mobile and web users, following a brief disruption that caused some to have trouble viewing or sending tweets.
The company did not reveal the source of the issue but, in a post on its status blog, said it was resolved by redirecting traffic “away from the components that were experiencing problems.”
Twitter is down for some users, the company confirmed on its blog Tuesday.
The first user reports of Twitter downtime started appearing around 2:20 p.m. PT on May 13. At the time of this writing, the service had been down for about hour. The outage is affecting Twitter service on the web and mobile. Read more…
